I suck at Photoshop. After 30 minutes of cursing I switched back to GIMP and finished my work in less than 10 minutes. Now my question to all the gurus: does a PS have an effect similar to GIMP's Retinex? Also, is it possible to mix alpha channel into background so it could be movable between layers and therefore subject to layer mixing (add/subtract/multiply/divide etc.)?
