I'm not doing much photography recently. But what I saw on a cold March day was worth sharing.

A genuine '58 or '59 (these are the only options) Edsel Pacer, Ford's not-so-prodigal son, an interesting attempt at design and one of the most spectacular failures in a whole history of automobiles. According to Wikipedia, less than 6,000 survived until today, what makes it a truly desirable collector's item.

And so there was one of them, standing right in front of me, among frostbitten and messy outskirts of Lodz Gotham City. I'm pretty sure that's the only Edsel in Poland and one of very few in Europe.

The quality is crappy, but I'm putting it here nevertheless. For educational purposes ;)

Thank you! Nice, and extremely rare here. For the time being, I know of only two in the whole country. Both are registered as classics (notice yellow registration plates, ordinary ones are white - I erased the numbers nonetheless) and therefore are subject to special treatment (smaller taxes and several other advantages). One thing I don't envy is fuel consumption. The owner said it goes up to 40l/100 km (15 mpg) and the current petrol price in Poland can go as high as $8 per gallon [I noticed you're from the U.S.;) ]

By the way: great gallery you have there! :)
